Thanksgiving Lunch

Each year I hold a family Thanksgiving luncheon in my classroom.  This year our annual luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 24th.  Our lunch is a sit down traditional Thanksgiving meal, including all the trimmings! I hoping that you will be able to join us, it's always a great day.  I will be sending out invitations later this week.  If you are able to help coordinate in any way please let me know.  I will need assistance to keep track of items that will be brought for lunch.  I look forward to hearing from you all.

We're Up and Running!

I apologize for the delay in getting this wonderful resource up and running.  I hope that you will find this to be a valuable resource for information.  I use this to communicate and share information with parents and family members.  You can provide the link to members of your family that are interested in seeing what we might be doing in our classroom.

We have the following things taking place with in our classroom right now.  We have state reports that are due on Wednesday, September 23rd.  Remember, students must turn in both the written report and poster to recieve full credit.  Phonics notebooks are due on Monday, September 21st.  Parent-Teacher Conferences will be taking place the last week of the month.  I will be sending information home this week in Tuesday folders. I have pre-posted our next weeks phonics words.

Please watch for information to come home regarding Fall Festival.  We will need parent volunteers to work the 2nd grade booth.  As I recieve more information regarding the festival.  I will share it with you.

I would also like to have a fall party at the end of October.  Please let me know if you are available to assist.  I would like to have the party on Friday, October 30th.  I know that it is early notice, but I know how hectic things become.

Please let me know if there is other information that you would like to see posted on the blog and I will be sure to do my best to add that information.

Welcome Back!!

I just wanted to welcome everyone back from a nice relaxing vacation! I hope that everyone is ready to get back into the swing of things once again. We will be busy right from the get go on Monday.
I am going to be sending home a homework contract renewal for you to review with your child. Please read and sign this contract together. I would like to have the signature page returned to school by Friday, January 9th. By having both you and your child sign this agreement, I know that you are fully aware of the policies that have been in place since the beginning of the year.
Report Cards will also be coming home on Monday, January 5th. Please sign the envelope and return that to class by the end of the week.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Pencil Donation

It's hard to believe that we go through so many pencils! Our class is in need of pencil donations. If you are able to assist our classroom and donate some pencils that would be terrific. I know that we will definitely be using them in the upcoming weeks.
