I have added most of the dates listed below on our montly Phonics Calendar.  I just wanted to make sure that they were available to you here too!

September 5th - No School in observance of Labor Day

September 13th - Curriculum Night-2nd grade presentation 6:30 - 6:45 pm

September 14th - PTO Fundraiser over *All money and coupon books DUE

September 15th - School Picture Day! Info will be sent home soon, please watch for it!

September 21st - SPIRIT DAY~Crazy Hats and/or Socks

September 28th - PTO Family Book Swap~ Pima Butte Cafe

Homework

Home will begin on Monday, August 15, 2011.  We will be starting our phonics journals and daily math homework.  Each evening students will have their daily phonics assignment, math homework and required reading.  Please contact me if you have questions.

Ordering School Shirts

Sports Apparel will be available to make shirts again for Pima Butte.  Here is the website to view what is available: http://www.yourapparelsource.com/sportsapparel/.  You may also email them directly at sports.apparel@live.com. I will post more information about class shirts when I have that available.

Getting ready for the 2011-2012 School Year

It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end! I'm getting ready for another new school year in just a few short weeks.  I am currently doing some "construction" to my class blog! Please excuse the mess while everything is updated.  I have revised the school supply list.  Mrs. Mott and I will be using the same list this year.  If you have a second grader at Pima Butte, please fill free to use this list.  You can also pick one up at the front office.

Here are a few important dates to get started:

August 1st - Class lists will be posted in the office window

August 4th - Meet the Teacher night 5pm - 7pm

August 8th - First day of school 

Our team shirts for second grade this year are going to be blue.  They will be available with our team name and school year.  I will gather more information regarding shirt orders and post that information when it is available. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday, August 4th!
